The screenshots were all versions of ‘Hi, just checking in’ written at increasingly desperate levels of politeness.
I expected a scheduling problem. It is partly that, but the real problem is emotional. Nobody wants to sound broke, angry or difficult.
Soft Chase now starts with the relationship, not the due date. A regular client gets a different message from somebody who has ignored you for six weeks.

Three did. The shortest one worked: two sentences, no apology, one clear date. That changed what I’m building.
Please test the version where the client is a friend. That is where I become physically incapable of pressing send.
